Yes, you will need a vehicle to reach our property.

Do I need snow chains?
It is a legal requirement that snow chains must be carried when driving on mountain roads in France during the winter months (from 1st December to 30th April), even for 4x4s. If you are hiring a car make sure that they are provided.
How frequent are the buses?
There are limited local buses.
Do I need to clean the property at the end of my stay?
No. Cleaning is included in the price of your booking, but you will still need to remove all rubbish (both inside and outside the property) on your day of departure.
Is there an enclosed outside area for small children to play in?
Yes
What is the cost of lift passes?
Full details of lift pass costs, including the Aravis lift pass which covers La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand, Manigod and St Jean de Sixt, plus pre-ordering online can be found on the Grand Bornand website
What are the arrival and departure times?
Please arrive between 16:00 and 19:00. You will need to vacate the property by 10:00 on your day of departure.

What is the capacity of the property?
The maximum number of people the property can accommodate is 14.

Yes this is usually possible. We will contact you after you have made your booking to find out if you have any special requirements.

Yes, our property includes free WiFi.

What are the bedroom and bed details?
Floor 0 There is a wc on the ground floor. Floor 1 Master Bedroom 1: 1 double bed (180×200) with dressing room and ensuite bathroom with sauna, shower, bath, hand basin, wc and bidet. Bedroom 2: 1 double bed (180×200) with ensuite bathroom with bath, hand basin and wc. Floor 2 Bedroom 3: 2 single beds (90×190) with ensuite shower room with shower, hand basin and wc. Bedroom 4: 1 double bed (180×200) with ensuite shower room with shower, hand basin and wc. Bedroom 5: 2 single beds (90 x 190) with ensuite shower room with shower, hand basin and wc. Bedroom 6: 2 single beds (90×190) There is also a bathroom on this floor with a bath, and a double hand basin, plus an independent wc. The Guardian’s House Bedroom 7: 1 double bed (160 x 200). There are two more showers and a further wc next to the sauna and summer kitchen in the Guardian’s House. Please note these facilities are not private , they are also for use by guests wanting to use the pool , jacuzzi and sauna. Please let me know which beds you would like prepared.
Can I smoke inside the property?
Our property is non-smoking, but you can, of course, smoke outside.
Are the roads regularly cleared of snow?
Yes. All the local roads are regularly cleared of snow by the local community as required. Please note that the snow clearers don’t work through the night, so roads might not be cleared from approximately 9pm until 7am.
When will I need to pay the balance of the booking?
If you are making your booking less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, you will need to make full payment at the time of booking.
Does the price include heating, water and electricity?
Yes, the price includes heating, water and electricity, subject to reasonable use. The price also includes bed linen, hand towels, bath towels, tea towels and bath mats.
What do I do if I break something or something stops working during my stay?
We realise that “accidents can (and do) happen”. If something is broken or stops working during your stay, please let us know straight away.
Do you have a fondue set?
Yes
Can you buy some groceries for us before we arrive at the property?
Yes this is usually possible. We will contact you after you have made your booking to find out if you have any special requirements.
Are there any local market towns and days?
Yes, there are markets in many of the towns in the Aravis. Is it possible to ski under floodlights?
Le Grand Bornand offers night skiing every Tuesday night, and if you feel adventurous you can try the local sledges under floodlights in La Clusaz on Tuesday and Thursday nights. La Clusaz also runs ‘Full Moon Ski’ nights, when the pistes are lit only by the glow of the full moon. Enjoy the tranquility of skiing by moonlight, or stop in at one of the bars or restaurants offering everything from drinks and food to bonfires and music. Also, Croix Fry offers night skiing every night of the week during peak holiday weeks, and most Friday and Saturday night from late December until late March. Skiing is open from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.
Can I bring my dog/cat?
Yes, animals are accepted in our property. Your pets therefore will be welcome (subject to our prior written approval).
Can you hold a period for me while I make my decision?
Yes, you can hold a booking for a period of 24 hours without any obligation by checking availability on our website and clicking on the ’24hr Hold’ button.
Is there cleaning equipment available?
Yes, a selection of cleaning products.
At what time do ski lifts open and close?
The lifts open at 09:00 and close between 16:30 and 17:00
Is there a nursery in Le Petit Bornand?
There is no child-care centre in Entremont or Le Petit Bornand but you can enquire in La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand where there are facilities.
Do you accept cheques-vacances?
No, we don’t currently accept cheques-vacances. Sorry.
Can you provide meals to reheat on arrival?
Yes this is usually possible. We will contact you after you have made your booking to find out if you have any special requirements.
Can you recommend a holiday insurance company?
Yes, ADAR from Albinet – www.albinet.fr. where you can take out a cancellation policy.
Can you arrange babysitting / child minding?
We can put you in touch with a babysitter, subject to availability.
Can you provide a baby’s cot?
Yes (and it is essential you inform us if you would like a baby’s cot prior to your arrival). Please note that we do not supply bed linen for cots.
Can you arrange additional cleaning during our stay?
Yes, this is usually possible. We will contact you after you have made your booking to find out if you have any special requirements.
At what times of the year do you accept weekend and short stay bookings?
We take weekend and short stay bookings in the low season – May, June, September, October, November and December (up until Christmas week).
Can you recommend any local products or services?

Can you provide a baby’s high chair?
Yes
What are the minimum nights for a short stay booking?
The minimum price is for a 7-night stay but you can also pay the price and stay for as little as one night.
What are your arrival and departure times for weekend bookings?
For weekend bookings (unless otherwise stated) you can arrive between 16:00 and 19:00 on your day of arrival and will need to vacate the property by 10:00 on your day of departure. * Weekend Specials * Sometimes, we offer a Sunday evening departure for guests who book weekend stays including Friday and Saturday nights. Please contact us for further details.
I am interested in cycling/mountain biking. Can you give me some contacts?
The four Aravis resorts (La Clusaz, Le Grand Bornand, Manigod and Saint-Jean-de-Sixt) offer a vast mountain biking area, open from mid June to mid September. Please pop into the tourist office when you arrive.
Does the price include linen and towels?
Yes. Towels and linen are included, and beds will be made up for your arrival.
Do you have a barbecue available?
Yes, a charcoal barbecue is available at the property.
Is there a garden?
Yes, there is a 5000 m2 garden.
How many nights are your weekend bookings?
Our weekend bookings are for two nights (but you can also pay the two night price and stay for one night). Please do a search on our website for pricing for stays longer than 2 days. (Note: the price for 6 days is the same as for a week).
Can you give me more information about your jacuzzi?
The jacuzzi holds 5 people. The temperature of the water is set at around 39°C.

How far is the train station?
The nearest train station is 10 km from the property.
Can you give me more information about your outdoor swimming pool?
